On top of this, I hate companies that post on job sites when the position isn't actually open. And not that they anticipate it being available soon. I call it "farming for apps." If there is no opening, don't list the fucking position and waste my time.
Seriously - at least a ballpark/range. I really don't have the time and energy in my already busy life to waste talking and emailing back and forth with you, only to find out that the jobs pays what I would consider entry-level salary.
