This is hilarious...

I once visited a friend of mine's home...and we were not allowed in the living room. The living room was only for "show" and all the furniture was covered in plastic. I asked my friend when they use them...he said never. They're only for "important" visitors, so they are never used. One whole room and one set of furniture that is never used to impress visitors who never came....

This *was* a three story house and they had plenty of other rooms to use...

This mentality is so hard to break. I use to do it and husband convinced me to stop. For me it was trying to make sure things stayed nice for a longer time. Does he also have an issue with using things like nice stationary?

Peel it off, but do it gradually so it looks like the glue is somehow breaking down naturally. Start with just a half inch on each edge. Make sure it's not a straight line where it's peeling because that is suspicious. Every day, go a little further and use an object like a pencil to keep the lines curvy. After a solid month of this, when there's just a sliver of unpeeled plastic remaining, hand him divorce papers.
