Story: A while ago I tried Tindering. I had just gotten out of a crappy long-distance and just wanted have fun for a while.
After several dates and hook ups I felt empty. I thought the app was just wasting my time so as I grabbed the phone to delete it I noticed a reply from the girl I super-like 6 weeks prior.
Her profile only said "Kiwi girl in Bangkok". I had asked her "cats or dogs". She answered, we made a date and now we are married with three cats (even tho she answered "dogs").
Edit: grammar
Edit 2: regarding the dragon suit here is what I wrote for another comment - "The dragon suit was a last minute decision. I didnt want to wear a woolen tux in Thailand (too hot and too colonial) and wanted something more representing of my heritage. Being ethnically Chinese, a Thai national and growing up in a South Asian neighbourhood (Nana) I picked Thai silk, with a Chinese print and a had it cut into the form of a Pakistani Kurta."
Edit3: she was in Singapore for holiday not work, I got that part wrong and she just corrected me. And for those asking her job in Bangkok was a diplomat for the NZ embassy there.
