The standard of “political commentators” or reporters in America is woeful. That is one of the big problems. In other countries for the most part you can trust the political commenters brought on are knowledgable, experienced and unbiased.

Even going by percentage David Brooks claim is an outright falsehood.
Every measure of CEO pay vs worker pay shows that CEO pay is growing far, far faster even as a percentage of income, much less as total income.
