Disgrace to the UK consulate. They need to answer to every one of their citizens in Hong Kong why they are not honoring their duties. Andrew Heyn is the person in charge.

Edit: since I am the top comment here I would like to illuminate the international law violated here and clarify the concerted efforts to distract. Mods I hope my edit is ok.

Article 22 of the Vienna Convention on Diplomatic Relations 1961 has been violated. This is from the UN directly. All major nations have signed on.

Nobody is claiming a consulate is the "soil" of the consulate nation. That implies land ownership. This is about the inviolability of mission premises. In other words protections not ownership.

Yes a consulate and an embassy are different but simply in terms of scale and organization. The embassy is the main governing body of consulates. However, both consulates and embassies are considered diplomatic missions in the eyes of international law (The UN) and enjoy the same protections.

Please do not allow yourself to fall for the arguments of distraction.
