Why do people refuse to factor in the knowledge of the mechanic? If it was so easy to diagnose and repair a car: we wouldn’t need mechanics! Much less their super handy lifts, ability to get good parts quickly, insurance, all their thousands of dollars in tools and machinery. . . If you can’t afford car repairs on a drive? TAKE THE BUS!

It's the old saying:

It's true that there is just no pleasing some people. I'm in commercial construction and some people want you to be:
-Fully licensed, bonded and insured.
-Utilize the cheapest subcontractors that are also somehow the best in terms of quality (doesn't exist).
-Have full time job site supervision but don't want to pay for that guys time.
-High quality finishes that don't cost very much.
-Get it done in an impossible timeline.
-Also be cheaper than "a guy he knows" that is just some yahoo with a truck.
Yeah, that can't happen my friend. You get what you pay for.
