While this is bad, I’ve started seeing something much more infuriating.

I’m in California and many restaurants have a small line at the bottom of each menu that says “due to increasing costs, there will be an extra 3% charge added to your bill.”

That’s it. Just 3% more. Not “we’re increasing the prices of everything by 3% so you know what things cost.” Just a sneaky 3% nothing fee tacked on at the end.

They have us fighting between ourselves over percentages when the real enemy is the corporations who don’t pay their employees a living rate. Channel all your energy at the politicians and corporations.

Man also since when do buffet drink tenders expect a tip? I usually give them a small tip but I don’t think they really deserve a full tip like a normal server.
