I thought our ranks would just be filled with supporters of the war like Tomi, Charlie Kirk, Ben Shaprio, and Candace Owens. I'm waiting on them to enlist.

Sad part is that as a service member who has all of that, the real profit and benefit goes to the people that make money off of war. Access to healthcare, housing and education don't mean a thing when you come back and realize you have changed.

I know Michael Moore can be divisive, but in Fahrenheit 9/11, he has number of scenes where he explores this phenomenon. He got a lot more press about going around asking members of Congress who voted in favour of the War in Iraq to sign up their children to fight, but there were also a number of great scenes where he goes to Flint and follows around a city worker and some military recruiters. The recruiters go to the mall in the poorer end of the city because middle class and rich white kids aren't as easy to recruit. The city worker talks about her children, one of whom died in Iraq, and how the military is a means of escape and a way to achieve an education and how rare of an opportunity that could be for people in Flint. There's also another scene where he is talking to a group of young, black high schoolers and damn near every one of them had a close relative in the military and fighting in Iraq or Afghanistan.

Some of those scenes were truly heart breaking
