Omfg. That looks like it hurts like a bitch. I’ve read that if you soak in vinegar, the vinegar dissolves the spines. However, I do not know from direct experience (thank goodness) whether it works or not. I hope you heal soon!

Haha, my first holiday with friends in Corfu- I accidentally stood on one in the sea, felt my foot sting and once I got back to land my heel looked like this. My boyfriend used a sewing needle to cut open my skin and my friends took turns to pull the spikes out using the needle :(

I can still recall a very old and very Greek lady saying in English- “you clean, you clean” as she passed us some surgical spirit.
