Tax records are public record, looking them up is free

They actually ended up admitting that the house was some kind of public venue and that other guy was lying about the realty records. They tried to play it off as a “joke”

More like the disinformation age, since ostensibly 1k+ people upvoted this. Nothing in this post was true.

First, the house is well-known in the area, and for any of the poster's friends, it'd be pretty obviously fake. Only people who really don't know OP and follow a non-meme account's tweets would have some reason to think it's genuine. OP was making a joke to his friends. If I posted something like this and tweeted "Bought my own car for my 16th birthday", people in the area where that car is famous would know it's a joke.

This means the comedian was lying about the tweet, and he admitted to it later. Mike Mulloy was making things up for attention.

However, this post was construed backwards - it is acting like OP is the one lying trying to get public attention and Mike Mulloy is bringing truth. No, OP is making a joke with friends, and Mike Mulloy is lying trying to get public attention.
