My AP US History teacher was the golf coach and had been teaching for over 40 years. He kept an old golf club at the front of the classroom and would whack someone’s desk when they weren’t paying attention. I had him 9th period and he smelled like liquor every day. Straight up skipped over the entire textbook section of Native American genocide because he said it was too controversial. Gotta love high school in the whitewashed burbs.
Honestly our history teacher in 10th grade was the basketball coach but he did a good job.... until March Madness rolled around. We didn't do jack shit for most the month of March.
