Even though I think he's a great character, I wish he wasn't in the new Star Wars. His ending in the ROTJ was great and a good ending of him. Bringing him back ruins the ending for Anakin and his redemption.
I'm sorry but how do you mess up Finn the way they have? He defected from an army that is composed of brainwashed child soldiers, these are people Finn has been around literally his whole life. But instead of exploring that fact in any capacity Finn gets turned into a comedy character who has no problems mowing down people who he was working alongside with less than a week ago.
Of all those characters Finn was the one I felt could have the most interesting story and hes been squandered.
