Being disabled changes the way people see you and how you see yourself. To boost my confidence when using my mobility aids and to diminish their stigma, I punk-ed out my rollator. 🤘

My wife is 30. She had a sudden back injury requiring a walker and WOW does life change. Especially as a spouse. Bling the shit out of your walker! There are tons of sites for off road tires, gadgets, whatever that make them useful and fun.

Don't feel bad; we're all human and broken (some on the inside and some on the out). But you make it look damn good.

Edit: Thank you kind strangers. I'm so surprised of the outpouring of positive thoughts and conversations. The wife had a severe case of osteoporosis set on by childbirth . Best wishes to all

My wife finds if she goes out in public with her chair, people touch her a lot.

I should let her know spikes will keep folks at a respectful distance.
