When my state went legal recreational some years back (one of the first to do so), within the first week someone walked in to one of the downtown dispensaries, snatched a whole jar off the counter, and booked out the door.
Cops caught the dude a block away when they saw the guy hauling ass down the street with a jar of weed, dispensary employees in hot pursuit. Everybody on the street marveled at the sight of the police returning a huge jar of weed to its rightful owners with a smile on their faces.
