My cousin got pregnant by a guy who told her she was the side chick and she said she didn’t know when she was going to the girlfriend’s house and eating all of her food. well, society in general still sells the idea that people "come around and change" once the baby is born or something
some people still believe in that
you know when you say "I don't want kids" and people hear "challenge me" and go :
once you hear the heartbeat, you'll change your mind; once you start painting the nursery, you'll change your mind; once you'll hold the baby for the first time, you'll change your mind; real men love babies; real women love babies; the first rush of love will be out of this world; you can't escape your biology;
etc
Just hard to navigate through all the "good intended" "popular advice and wisdom" gained through "other's people experience"
If people learned to mind their own business, that kind of "how come he won't be with me I birthed his child" mindset wouldn't happen
