I’m glad his pups were there to give him comfort because walking out there without either parent must have killed him a little inside. That’s a rough hand to be dealt to such a young man.

He also got one of the loudest cheers from the crowd when he walked into the field. He was one of the main reasons I went to the game instead of staying home, even though he isnt necessarily my favorite player my buddies and I wanted to make sure he knew he had his Spartan family to support him.

A little more backstory, he lost both his parents, but he is from Texas, so he wasn't even near any family outside of his teammates during a lot of the normal grieving time.
