I was surprised Peter was not more excited to see Gwen Stacy. After all, in his timeline she tragically died in front of him while trying to save her.

The reason Miles' spider sense goes off later than the other's is because unlike them, Miles is animated on twos for the portion of the movie where he is not yet in sync with his newly found senses.

Basically, everyone else was animated on every single frame (24FPS), but only miles was animated on twos (12FPS). A good example of this is during this scene at 0:58, where you can probably notice the difference in movement between Miles and peter, whereas at 1:11 where he begins to get the hang of it, their frame rates begin to move in sync.
