Hell, ill throw myself under the bus here. Growing up we definitely had potato scallops plenty of times but then it just became a thing I didn't really order in my adulthood for quite a while. A few years ago I had just moved to a new town and decided to try a new fish and chip store that had opened up. I'll lead with the fact I am not much of a seafood eater aside from fish occasionally. Anyway I get in there, order some blue cod and hot chips and then I notice scallops. Well freakin sweet, lets go back down that old memory lane. And that was the day I found out what scallops are.
