My (30M) half brother (39M) is supposed to be an older wiser adult. He posted this to my Facebook wall when he found out that I am gay. Oh and he hasn't even spoken to me in 12 years.

Supposed to mean that the commitment to your god is more important than the family you were born into. I like to think of it more like the family you choose is greater than the family you were born into though.
