"My" dogs favorite person is my fiance so I'm used to him not giving 2 shits about me. I've noticed though that he's started checking on me at night while my fiance is asleep. Hell come in, see I'm still alive, give me a tail wag, then leave.
This morning I caught him checking on me while I was sleeping. He doesn't stay with me while my fiance is gone but this morning i heard him turning to leave. I saw him and said hello. Then he got real happy and came up on the bed with me for a minute before leaving to wait for my fiance at the front door again.
My cat likes to make sure his favorite toy is next to me when I'm sleeping. If I accidentally kick it off, he puts it back. He doesn't often sleep next to me, just comes in a few times a night to make sure the toy is still there.
