I really want to add that while the book was fiction and impactful, there is a text that I have read many times in my academic career and never failed to be impactful, regardless of my standing in life at the time. It is titled, "Night," by Elie Wiesel. Please, give it a read, it is available everywhere. It is a tale that will affect all who come near it.
I dont know man, I'm not vegan but I also by no means think Humans are a superior species. We are more intelligent sure, but we've also/are continuing to fuck the planet beyond belief. The mass slaughtering of billions of farm animals is something that I hope we move past in the future.
