I miss my coffee guy :( he was English and he would always be like "here you go love, cheers!" when he handed me my coffee and it was very cute. I'm sure he's fine he just doesn't work at that coffee shop anymore lol.
I used to go to this wing place and get the “afterburner” wings, which were the hottest on the menu. The guy knew me because few people walked in and ordered that. He used to call me afterburner and ask me how I was doing.
One day, I was in the area but decided I wanted to go to subway a few doors down from the wing place. Guy was smoking outside and caught me opening the door to subway and yelled out “afterburner! What are you doing?!” He threw out his cigarette and came to get me.
The whole time he was making my wings he was “disappointed” in me.
Edit: Yes, yes and yes: it was a Wings Over chain. Had no clue that chain was so popular on Reddit.
