Yeah, I had a pos father like this. I remember I was7-8 yrs old and my aunt painted my nails and when she brought me home, my father said he will cut my fingers off if I ever do that and only whores do it.
The father and step-mother lost their jobs at the fire station they worked at and are being investigated. The mother now has sole custody of her daughter. I believe the father and step-mother also lost custody of their sons to other relatives as well.
I had a friend that went through something similar, and this really brought back memories.
Basically, I once became friends with a girl from vietnam. She was super stylish and always had perfect makeup, but mostly she had this beautiful head of hair that made her stand out. So one day I made her compliment about it and she became kind of awkward “ha ha, thanks but it’s fake” and didn’t elaborate further. Later through the year she confessed to me that her dad had cut her hair because her grades were getting lower back in vietnam. One day she had come back home from school and her dad was waiting for her, scissors in hand. He held her down while snapping off every lock of hair he could find (she showed me the extensions of her new hair where her dad had cut, they were literally at the scalp) and screaming that she was failing school because she would go out with people since she was pretty. Forcibly cutting his daughter’s hair was his solution to that. Lastly, he forbid her from seeing her friends for three months (or smth like that), therefore she couldn’t get to say goodbye to her friends before going to study abroad, which is where we met. This was at least three years ago, so I don’t know where and how she is, but I hope she’s doing fine.
I dunno, I guess if I ever wanted to share this story, it should probably be on this subreddit.
