I think this is something I haven’t heard talked about very much. If an actor is able to really separate themselves from the character, and be super different from every character, I’m waaaay more into the show.
These days I think the access is a problem. I know what my favorite actors eat for breakfast.. and my not favorite actors, and people I don’t care about. Before that, we were so much more connected to the character because they can’t be like the person in real life if you don’t know what that’s like.
Keanu takes such polar opposite roles, and is such a good actor that it’s not even a problem.
