I get to see them in the wild pretty regularly. I have a family with 3 teen aged ones that hang out near my deer stand. They are fun to watch. Here’s a cute story. I was sitting in a different deer stand I have in a really thick area of the woods. I had been watching two squirrels burying acorns and out of the corner of my eye I see this big male bobcat sneaking up on them. When the squirrels went back up the tree to get another acorn the cat snuck within 10-15 feet from the base of the tree. The squirrel started to come back down and jumped on the ground but must have seen the bobcat because it jumped back on the tree and flattened himself out and stared at the cat. They stared each other down for about 2 min until the bobcat twitched his tail. The squirrel went nuts and started barking his ass off. The bobcat just stood up looked at the squirrel and just turned around and nonchalantly walked off while the squirrel followed him for about 5 min alerting every animal in the woods the bobcat was there.
