“I say to my colleague, I’d be glad to have the person who started it all come in and testify. President Trump is welcome to take a seat right there,” Welch said.

His comment was in response to Rep. “Now there is one witness, one witness that they won't bring in front of us. They won’t bring in front of the American people, and that’s the guy that started it all: the whistleblower,” Jordan said.

That wasn't even the funniest part of the hearing. Mr. Kent talking about how instituting meaningful anti-corruption policies tends to "piss of corrupt people" was hilarious.

Mr. Kent also had to remind a republican rep twice that he was there "as a fact witness" and that it was the reps job, not his, to decide the meaning of those facts.

This is a guy creating foreign policy in what was once one of the most corrupt nations in the world and these reps think they can pull fast ones on him? You could tell by the look on his face that he wasn't having any of their partisan bullshit.

He didn't mince words, he skewered people with them.
