I'm the fire chief of a volunteer fire department. For the last 26 years a week before Prom night , our fire department has done a drunk driving vehicle accident simulation for the students to show them what happens during a drunk driving accident. We are 26 years fatality free so far.

My senior year (many years ago) they did this at my HS in Tampa Florida, some how I was recruited into being a victim, I was walking across the football field, somebody put fake blood on me, and I laid under a car for an hour and a half...

Still got out of English class 8/10 would recommend !

Edit: as a father of 2 I appreciate this much more Than I did when I was I was the target of the message.

Edit2: I always told/tell my kids if they are ever out and are intoxicated, call me and I’ll pick you up no questions asked, I was so proud of my older daughter when she was a JR and called for a ride. We had a conversation the next day; and no punishment was necessary, because in the light of day she understood the lesson...

Did one at my high school and a friend played the drunk driver who survived and is arrested. Local news covered the simulation buuuuuut dude's grandmother missed the whole "simulation" part of the story and thought he really got arrested for a fatal drunken accident.
