LSU snapped Alabama’s 31-game home winning streak on Saturday, but the Tigers players weren’t quite done even when the clock hit zeros.

They had some recruiting to do.

As should be expected in a huge game between top-3 teams, Alabama welcomed a large contingency of football recruits to Bryant-Denny Stadium on Saturday. Given that a good number of those prospects had both LSU and Alabama on their short lists, the Tigers didn’t wait to make a pitch to the recruits in Alabama’s recruiting section.

During that postgame celebration, video showed Tigers players Thaddeus Moss, Grant Delpit, Marcel Brooks and Cameron Lewis going over to the Bama recruits and making a case for LSU. Right there from the field.

Hey, you have to give the Tigers players credit. That was some heads-up recruiting and a solid way to make an impression.

LSU coach Ed Orgeron also took notice of his players’ efforts. He said after the game, via 247Sports:

“I think it’s phenomenal. We had a lot of recruits at the game tonight. I texted them, they called me. I think a lot of them were wearing their purple and gold socks tonight. I think there were a lot of guys that want to come be a part of our great football team. They want to get coached, they want to get developed. We have a couple spots left and we feel like we’ll get some great players in those spots.”

LSU will look to keep its undefeated season going against Ole Miss on Saturday.

I really hope Saturday Down South posts this just to see those commenters lose their ever-loving minds.

If I were a recruit deciding between Alabama and LSU then I would be much more athletic than I actually am.
