My grandpa had a decanter of scotch that he kept in the china cabinet for special occasions. He didn’t drink it very often at all. when my mom was 16 she drank half of it and watered it down. My mom was in her 20s before he took a sip and found out. He was pissed. My grandpa died in his 50s and then my grandma passed recently 20 years later. That decanter was still there in that china cabinet when we were cleaning out her house. Still filled with the watered down scotch
