Reminds me of the comment thread on an article yesterday about whether automation poses a threat to the work force. In theory, the goal is to reach such peak efficiency through automated systems that the amount of work each person needs to perform to afford basic necessities and goods would drop to an all-time low. In reality... I'm somehow doubtful things will go that way.
