The leaves on the ground look like a Japanese Maple. Am I correct? Absolutely gorgeous shot, I can’t believe it’s “jUsT sEaTtLe” (not saying Seattle isn’t lovely too!)

Bonus pic from the same morning

I feel lucky to have nabbed this shot before this amazing little tree was destroyed during a strong wind storm. Unfortunately a much larger tree was blown down right on top of the little fella. The park has done a great job cleaning up since and has replaced it with a new Japanese Maple, but it just isn’t the same. I also have to say this picture doesn’t fully capture the feeling of being in the garden that morning. Running around with fog, vibrant red, yellow and orange leaves, amazing trees around every corner, light rays beaming through and perfect little reflections everywhere. Definitely not a morning I will forget.

As always, thanks for viewing! If you would like to see more of my work please feel free to follow me on Instagram or check out my website
