At my office it's 9-6 with 1 unpaid lunch hour. In August, we switch to a summer schedule of 9-2 since there's less work (thank god still paid like full time)
Do you know how much happier I was in August? You know how well I slept? And you know how fucking fast I worked?
There are so so so so many jobs where 8 hours is just ridiculous. 8 hours was decided for factory workers when the factories needed to be manned 24/7. These days it's a relic that we're all compelled to because we pay by hours given to an employer and not productivity.

5 days times 5 hours. I think a better combination would be 4 days, 6 hours. Three-day weekends at the expense of only 1 hour less.
