He’s much nicer in kitchen nightmares UK than in US. It seems like in the UK version he’s dealing with generally reasonable people who actually want to improve and just need some tweaks here and there, but it’s like the people on kitchen nightmares US want to call him in and then fight him on everything, like they’re surprised he isn’t praising their failing restaurant at every turn. Not to mention they’re often committing major health standards violations on top of that, to the point into where they could get someone seriously ill or even kill them.
