Them: we don't really do paper resumes anymore if you want a positions you'll need to go home and apply online
(I have had a job for a while now, I applied online and only came in once before I was hired during my first interview, they didn't need the resume since I sent them it online)

My dad yelled at me when I told him people take polls online and don’t need to be contacted through a phone call to participate.

I remember my parents were also like this. My stepdad has hade one job since he got out of school.
Neither of them understood that companies really don't want paper applications.
