Work at Chili's. Can confirm that is what it's there for. I have to take those $1.99 charges off angry parents checks all the time. Also, sometimes servers accidentally hit that when picking the thing up to present the checks, which makes the server look sleazy in guests eyes. "Think I didn't see you add that to my check?"

These could have been great, and they totally fucked the implementation

I can add some insight here.

Ziosk has it's headquarters in Texas and I happened to work for them in their repair "division".

First of all, we would get basically forced to work 12-13 hour shifts because "production needs to be up there guys!" All so we can be paraded like circus animals for an award plaque and see how ONLY the manager gets a huge bonus and the workers get DICK.

Second, their batteries (I personally was in charge of the charger and battery portion) are a literal ticking time bomb. This issue has been reported by both the restaurants that have them as well as us in the repair bench and they told us to just keep using the parts as there is nothing they can do on their end.

That company is the absolute SCUM of the Earth and deserves to be bankrupt at the very least.
