Queen are the latest band to take on US President Donald Trump, forcing the politician to take down a campaign video which featured ‘We Will Rock You’ on its soundtrack.

Even if you’re not politically-minded, you would likely be aware by now that there’s a growing number of musicians who aren’t terribly fond of Donald Trump.

Sure, we’ve seen musicians like Axl Rose, Rihanna, and more protest the use of their music at his rallies, while the estate of Prince recently proved that Trump’s campaign team reneged on a promise to no longer play tunes like ‘Purple Rain’.

However, these musical battles have even found their way over onto the Twittersphere as well, with big names like R.E.M. and Nickelback taking issue with Trump’s use of their music in videos that he shared to his followers.

While most of these previous run-ins have resulted in the videos being taken offline, it seems that this trend has now continued, with iconic rock outfit Queen becoming the latest band to take Trump to task.

As Buzzfeed News reports, Donald Trump shared a video to his Twitter feed last Wednesday which reportedly featured footage of him speaking at rallies, while being soundtracked by Queen’s ‘We Will Rock You’ in its entirety.

Did he play a different Queen song at a different rally at one point?

On Sunday’s No Agenda podcast, Adam said that as long as the venue paid their ASCAP license, they can play any music they like. A campaign video, likely seen to be promoting a candidate, might be different.
