I had someone come in for the first oil change on a 2017 Impreza at 45,000 miles. Check engine light was on, car was struggling to get to an idle crawl, the inside of the engine looked like a swamp...
And it was also on a prepaid plan.
Blows my mind how people make these decisions.
Edit: This is what her oil filter looked like.
She says she also kept topping it off with more oil. (It was overfilled by a quart 2-3 quarts when it came in). That just made me even more confused.
