I had to do something similar at my current salon. I was getting my haircut for at least two years by this guy and he upped his rate to $30 (when I started with him he was $20). One time I had to see someone else in the salon because he was out for a scheduled appointment. She cost $20 but the haircut was just as good, so why would I keep paying $10 more? That was over a year ago. At first we still exchanged hello's but now we just look right past each other like it never happened.

Each and every person must go through the Barber's Trials. It's what you do now that will define you forever. Do you brazenly walk into that barber shop in a month and ask for the best damn haircut ever and sit there with a cold-hearted dead ass stare or do you relegate your existence to one of mediocre haircuts.

Just try and find out your regular barber's days off are. Then start making your appointments with new barber on those days. If you ever bump into old barber one day, just say that your schedule these days means you're only free certain days.
