Once you factor in travel/hotel etc. plus the general wear and tear of travelling, lack of sleep, stress from playing in tournament, insurance out of pocket, etc. it becomes clear that it isn't worth it.

To be the best in the world at something and get out earned by the starting salary for basic 4 year degrees...
