I was at one of these six years ago. A rowdy family entered before my group and were promptly thrown out because they attacked one of the actors. Stupidest shit I ever witnessed. The whole time before walking in the two sons were amping themselves up muttering, “yo I swear if any of these muhfuckas come at me..”

Oh yes. I work in a haunted house and something like this happened just this past Saturday. I’m one of the actors that walks around the lines in front of the attraction to entertain people while they wait. A lot of them want a picture with me. Great, I can do that and they get a fun memory. The amount of people who push me, grab me, and kiss me just for a picture is disgusting. I had someone ask if we could pose like I was trying to bite him, as my character is a zombie. Not a problem, a lot of people ask for that. What happened instead was I posed, and he full on shoved me backwards to get a real fighting photo. I ended up getting pushed into a group of people. One of them got hurt and I broke a finger/busted my lip open. That guy was kicked out and banned from ever returning. Just because the actors wear a costume and put on a show does not mean you can treat them like toys.

Maybe not as violent, but when I worked at a haunted house a family was coming through. I had to jump out and scare them and well the parents got up set at me for scaring their child ( under 5). Some people just don’t seem to understand the point of a haunted house.
