What was the question? If it’s scientific in nature, it’s expected to have the same number of decimal places throughout an equation. For instance, if you react 39.34g of sodium metal with 60.66g Cl2 gas, then it’s proper to write the product as 100.00g NaCl even though the decimal becomes redundant.

All about keeping decimals without automatic rounding, so that your results are more accurate with each subsequent step.
