Depression can affect anyone of any status. I've seen you are already consulting someone, so thought I'd add. Try to find some hobby and take part in it. Something that requires you to leave the house and meet people. Perhaps electric rc cars? There are tracks you can go to, and everyone is nice about it and helpful. Just an example.
This is one of my biggest fears. I tend to blame my depression on my lack of acomplishments, and I'm scared that one day I'll be where I want to be in life, and still be unhappy.

Depression doesn't care about your circumstances. The shitty part is it can take years to get your meds right.
