I ended up telling her she’s disrespecting my boundaries, as she’s always done, and that I’m not doing this with her, she can turn up but I’m not answering the door.
I said I’m an adult, the fact I even had to say that in the first place is ridiculous, and that I don’t want to see her.
For backstory, she’s completely ruined my relationship with the rest of my family over £20, and throughout my childhood refused to give me affection or any kind of empathy, she seriously needs therapy but even me telling her doesn’t stop her, or change her, moving out helped me a ton and I’m upset I still have to deal with my boundaries being disrespected.
She asked what she’s done to deserve this, I explained the situation, and why I don’t want to see her, she won’t change her behaviour and I’m sure she’ll come round next week at some point but for now I can relax.
