Pain of 8-10 out of 10 seems really high. Is that normal for this procedure? Have you experienced pain like that before from anything else?

I’m on my 3rd IUD. I love it. Will never go back. Plus I had a possible stroke on the pill, so no provider will give it to me anyway.

My first one hurt like crazy going in but the second two were easy peasy (as they were 6 weeks post baby). The first was pre-kids.

Just wondering, have you had kids? I’m told that it’s often easier process post kids and that was my experience as well.

This is amazing. My IUD also hurt like hell. Side effect from it, now I don't fear most pain. (I am really looking forward to childbirth). But I got a rib cage tattoo figuring I would be able to deal with it, and I feel pretty confident saying sitting for two hours getting a side tattoo is less painful than a 30sec IUD insertion.
