A group of US students drank so much alcohol at a frat party that the air inside the house registered on a breathalyser, police said.
Around 70 people attended a "Tequila Tuesday" night in Bethesda, Maryland before disgruntled neighbours rang the police.
As officers entered the building, the ambient air registered a 0.01 on a police breathalyser.
Six people, all aged 20, were charged with underage possession of alcohol and giving alcohol to a minor, WJLA reported.
They face charges up to £240,000 ($315,000) in fines as a result.
The group, allegedly members of the Sigma Alpha Epsilon fraternity, are all students at American University, the network said.
The fraternity has reportedly previously faced sanctions by the private university.
Three officers attended the scene after residents reported loud music coming from the house.
Officers found windows covered with inuslation and rubbish bags, beer cans and alcohol bottles throughout the house, accord to court documents.
Eight people locked themselves in a bathroom, while another jumped out of a second story window in attempt to avoid the police.
The legal drinking limit in the US is 0.08, so if someone registers higher they are considered too drunk to drive.

This cannot be that hard to do. I used to work in residential drug and alcohol treatment and we would sometimes breathalyze people returning. One time my coworker used hand sanitizer in this tiny room we shared and I breathalyzed a client through a window in the room and it was positive. They denied it so I did it again out in the hallway and it was negative. I could imagine how a butch if alcohol in a confined space would do the same thing.
