Tony, unlike his father, showed his daughter affection and love, it goes without saying that Howard loved Tony but as he said in IM2 "He was cold, he was calculating, he never told me he loved me, he never even told me he liked me." However, watching Tony find peace within himself in Endgame in regards to his father helped him shape up his completed character arc by his ultimate sacrifice.
