The entirety of the internet is like this... Movie streaming for example. The only reason that consoles don't have this problem is because their respective companies own the entire supply chain. Apple also doesn't have this problem for the same reason. But on consoles and with apple you are locked in a cage of what you can and cannot do. So It's kinda a mixed bag...
