I remember that earthquake like it was yesterday. I was in 5th grade. I was sitting in class, when I heard what sounded like heavy construction equipment outside, but it kept getting louder until suddenly we felt the ground shaking. My teacher just about had a heart attack, she was screaming at the top of her lungs "get under your desks!" I thought it was cool lol

I was in Kindergarten when this happened, super freaky experience, the whole room was shifting. I've always in a morbid way wanted to experience an earthquake again as an adult, just to know what it's like, and how much of my memory of the event is colored by childhood glasses.
