Riot Games, and more specifically, League of Legends will be celebrating their ten year anniversary on October 15th.

In concordance with their tenth anniversary Riot will have livestreams and different events on their channel starting at 6:00 pm PST.

The first event/stream will be a 10th Anniversary Edition of Riot Plz.

In the announcement distributed, Riot also makes note that they are currently seeing about eight million peak concurrent players on the client.

The last major part of the announcement is that Riot has updated the League of Legends Logo stating, “We think this is the perfect time to set the stage for the next ten years by modernizing the official League of Legends logo.”

Cornell will start giving full scholarships to medical students who qualify for financial aid

(CNN) Cornell University had a life-changing announcement for its medical students.

Weill Cornell Medicine said Monday it would eliminate medical education debt for all students who qualified for financial aid, starting with the students that entered the program this fall.

"This bold initiative to eliminate medical education student debt ensures that every student who wishes to become a doctor can do so -- for their betterment and for the patients they serve," Cornell University President Martha E. Pollack said in a statement. »

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) — Pittsburgh Pirates’ closer Felipe Vázquez has been arrested on charges of pornography and soliciting a child.

Vázquez, 28, of Saint Cloud, Florida, is facing charges of computer pornography – solicitation of a child and one count of providing obscene material to minors.

Vazquez’s lawyer said a hearing is set for Sept. 25 to determine if Vazquez will be extradited to Florida. »
