For those asking the question, rather than deflecting, go visit one of these communities and see how many active programs we've got in place on a daily basis to combat violence. But since it doesn't make the news some of y'all think it's neglected.
Edit: I've seen a lot of people commenting "why isn't it working?". No program of any sort contains anything 100%. That's absolutely unrealistic. Plus, we have no idea how many have actually been stopped as you can't keep a tally on number of preventions. Once again, rather than assume it isn't working, my original point still applies. Go see these programs in action, see the people they impact and you decide whether they made that community a bit safer with their intervention.
